Prague Castle is one of the largest castle complexes in the world, according to the Guiness book of records.

Generally, there are two ways of how to see it: for free and with Prague Castle tickets. To see it for free, all you have to do is get to one of its gates and walk through the castle courtyards to see castle complex from the outside. However, the best parts of the Prague Castle can only be unlocked with an entrance ticket B or A. I suggest the B ticket if you want to spend there half a day max.. Prague Castle offers audio guides or their own guides, just bear in mind that audioguide is time limited and the castle guides are not always available.

Another option is to hire one of the Prague tour companies. When I went to Prague I went with these guys group: 100 Spires Citytours and joined their Complete Prague Castle Tour it was really great. Price was almost the same as with audio guide and the quality was superb because the tour was monolingual and the group was small.

No matter how long you decide to stay in Prague, make sure to visit Prague Castle! It is a really beautiful place full of history and architecture.
